Power Meter monitoring System

Project Introduction:

Our partner ABB corporation want to use their SCADA named Industry IT to integrate the power meters. The protocol of power meter go through standard Modbus protocol. The Industry IT provides the OPC interface for integration. So we use OPCTechs Modbus OPC server to integrate power meters with ABB SCADA. Besides, the cabling engineering works are not so easy. We got to use the isolation N-Port devices to get the signals through RS485 communication and convert to Ethernet signals.

System Requirement:

。1 set OPCTechs Modbus OPC Server with 32 com ports

。16 pieces of N-Port

Conclusions:

There are so many famous SCADA in the world. They can not support all of the device driver. For example, Allen Bradley RSView32, GE Cimplecity, ABB Industry IT, Siemens WinCC, Honeywell EBI or Plantscape …etc. They all support their own device drivers. But they do not support the rest of the devices drivers. But they all provide the OPC client interfaces. It’s easy and convenient to combine them with the OPC server.
