Introduction:
We use ICPDAS M-7000 I/O module to establish a building automation system. In this case, we use VB to design the user friendly interfaces to present user friendly figures. It helped the users to manage the system easily. The protocol of M-7000 goes through standard Modbus protocol. So we use OPCTechs Modbus OPC server to integrate M-7000 modules and VB. |

Conclusions:
In some cases, because of the low costs, the system integrator will design the program by themselves. The communication issue will be a big problem. We tell our customers to use OPC Server to be the communication middle software and design the OPC client to connect to the OPC server. It makes the system stable and efficiency. Right now, we successfully use VB、VB.NET、C#、C++ Builder、Delphi、Excel、Visual C++ to connect to the OPC server and well done a lot of cases. |
